Still No Revenues for Cannabis Science (OTC:CBIS)

Author: Joe Smith  /  Category: Uncategorized

Stock promotion is serious business and commonplace in the SmallCap arena, but it is a necessary demon for the undercapitalized companies to market themselves and attract more investors. Stocks using this usually effective method are trying to expand their investor base and ramp up volume, but don’t fall in love with all the bells and whistles because one thing for sure… they are almost always short-lived. It’s just simple market correction that’s all… you can’t expect a stock to gain 50 percent one day and not give any back the next. The best move is to buy early (i.e. when you first receive the promo e-mail) or not at all because after a couple of hours most of the buying is done anyway and the price usually dips back down.

One company from the SmallCap space this morning that looks to be under some sort of promotion campaign is Cannabis Science (OTC:CBIS) because the last news from this company was issued way back in September. Also, a look into their financials will show you that they are a development stage company with no revenue and an accumulative deficit of nearly $60 million.

Already today Cannabis Science has traded nearly 2 million shares and hit a 52-week high of almost 6 cents. This stock trades so rarely that it does not even have an average daily volume so stock promotion is definitely one of the possibilities. Another important factor to point out is the business they are engaged in – medical marijuana – is still in such an early stage, both politically and economically, no one really knows what is going to happen with it. The time-frame for profitability could be 20 years instead of 5 like many hope. Definitely do your due diligence and research on this company before clicking the “buy” tab because you could be sitting on these 6 cent shares for quite a while.

Cannabis Science is one of the companies engaged in pharmaceutical grade medical marijuana research and development. The Company works with world authorities on phytocannabinoid science targeting critical illnesses, and adheres to scientific methodologies to develop, produce and commercialize phytocannabinoid-based pharmaceutical products. In sum, Cannabis Science are dedicated to the creation of cannabis-based medicines, both with and without psychoactive properties, to treat disease and the symptoms of disease, as well as for general health maintenance.

Improve Your Eating Habits

Author: Joe Smith  /  Category: Uncategorized

Rates of obesity and ill-health due to poor diets are rising, both in the UK and in the US. I don’t agree with diets. After all, now many of them really work? No, I mean really work. Diets are a restricted eating regime that is not about real life.

The only way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise more. If you want a diet for life then you need to adjust your eating habits.

Water. If you’re thirsty you’re already dehydrated. If you feel hungry, you may actually be thirsty. The majority of us don’t drink as much as we should during the day. If you drink tea and coffee to keep you going these have a diuretic effect, so you should be drinking water to compensate.
Have a glass of water first thing in the morning and last thing at night – your body loses a lot of water while you’re asleep – not only if it’s warm and you sweat a lot but just sleeping for 8 hours (if you’re lucky) you’re going to wake up dehydrated.

Fruit & Veg. Fruit and vegetables provide you with vitamins, minerals and fibre to help keep your body healthy. They’re high in anti-oxidants and good for keeping your insides healthy.
Do you manage five a day? Eat a piece of fruit or drink fresh juice for breakfast. Better still take up juicing (see below). Fresh berries on muesli or porridge or cereal. Have fruit as a snack during the day and salad and vegetables with your main meals.

Avoid processed food. With the increased reliance on ready-prepared meals, take-aways and convenience food to save time, there is an increase in the amount of processed food that people eat.

Before you buy that convenience meal – check the label. How much sugar, salt, hydrogenated fat, E preservatives, colouring does it contain? Because it’s processed – a lot of the flavour and goodness is lost and has to be added in the form of colourings, flavours and bulking agents. Because it needs to survive transport with a long shelf-life and cooking fats and preservatives are added.
And how much does it really cost? Cooking simple meals such as stir-fries and casseroles are just as convenient and so much better for you.

Juice. One great way to kick-start your day and gently wake up your digestive system, is to have a fresh juice every morning. I don’t mean the orange juice with your breakfast but fresh vegetable juices. Invest in a good juicer, buy local organic produce and find out how good fresh juice is. A simple daily mixture is apple, carrot, celery, ginger and lemon.

Fish. Eat fish at least once a week. It contains healthy Omega 3 oils which are good for your joints, and nerves. Flax and hemp oils offer an alternative for non-fish eaters.

Eat regularly. Get into the habit of eating breakfast. Your body has been without food over night – break the fast with a glass of warm water, then have a fresh juice (see above). Eat a breakfast of cereal, muesli or porridge (avoid those loaded with salt and sugar).

Try to eat every 2-3 hours throughout the day – little and often – to avoid your blood sugar fluctuating too much. Don’t eat a heavy meal late in the evening. Your body will naturally be slowing down and it will be harder to digest.

Alcohol. There’s nothing wrong with the odd glass of wine, in fact these days it’s seen to be healthy for the anti-oxidants. Alcohol causes your kidney’s and liver to work overtime to rid the body of the toxins.

Know what you’re eating. Be aware of what food you’re putting in your body. Read the food labels if you buy tinned, processed food to be aware of how much salt, sugar and fat is in the food you buy. Buy organic meat whenever possible to avoid the steroids, hormones and anti-biotics that are in factory farmed meat.

Balanced diet. One of the most important ways to improve your eating habits is to have a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables, whole food, fish and meat, nuts and seeds. Everything in moderation. Keep fatty and sugary foods low but if you enjoy chocolate, cakes and curries there’s nothing wrong with having one once in a while.

Think about 80/20. Eat healthily 80% of the time and enjoy yourself the other 20%!

Author: Joe Smith  /  Category: Uncategorized

No home’s interior design is complete without the proper bedding and bath accessories to pull the look together. You can find bed and bathroom products in a number of places and there are many different products available through the sustainable resources found across the Internet.

The following article highlights some places to find bedding and bath products for your home and also exposes a few environmentally-friendly choices you can make.

Bed, Bath and Beyond is a Large Retail Store

Bed, Bath and Beyond is one of the most popular stores that offers a vast selection of items for the home. Although this retail store specializes in bedroom or bathroom products, there are many products hight-lighted for many other areas of your home. You can dress your interior landscape from top to bottom at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Linens and Things is a Well Known Brand

Another fantastic option is a store like Linens and Things. This store is great for finding unique interior design products for bedding and bath. Linens and Things is organized much like Bed, Bath and Beyond and you can find plenty of other things aside from products for the bedroom and bathroom.

Trying Buying Organic, Recycled, or Sustainable Products

If you really want something different that is in line with your environmentally conscious shopping needs, you may want to opt for an organic retailer like Gaiam. This shopping site is pretty good. It offers not so common bedding and bath items manufactured from hemp or recycled materials. I love to browse through these kinds of stores. A person may experience a slightly higher cost for green, Earth-friendly items in the current shopping sites but this little extra cost is worth investment.

Buying Your Household Items on the Cheap

There are some who prefer something thrifty. There are plenty of places to find great deals on bedding and bath products. Outlet stores are ideal stopping points for finding some frugal deals for the home. These retailers often showcase high-end items at a fraction of the price.

Another great place to find a deal on bedding and bath products is the closeout store. Retailers like Big Lots offer discontinued items for the home. There are many great savings offered on odd shaped, or repackaged products as well. Many of the irregularities are not detectable and you can score big with a visit to one of these retailers.

Of course, there are the department store chains that boast everyday low prices and outstanding sales. You can locate many environmentally friendly bedding and bath products at local retail stores. There are more option emerging everyday. You can find just about all of the household items that you may need. One stop shopping is a wonderful option for busy people who want to find affordable products for their home in little time.

Shopping for Bedding and Bath Products is Best Online

My personal favorite place to shop is the Internet. There is a boatload of options related to bedding and bath products that can be sent right to your doorstep. Eco-friendly Promotional Products to Promote Your Brand

Author: Joe Smith  /  Category: Uncategorized

These days business organizations do not believe in boosting up the brand recognition of their products and services by investing in costly advertising techniques. Rather companies are coming up with different types of items like environment friendly gifts so that they can be distributed to the customers, thereby attracting them towards the company’s services and products. Also, the companies are shifting from traditional methods of giving promotional items like pens, caps and t-shirts to more stylish items which are user as well as environment friendly.
Branded and high quality products are offered to the customers so as to maintain a high position in the corporate world. As people have become more and more conscious of branded products, business organizations look out for promotional items that are trendy as well as useful.
As the market for promotional products is widening, so is the range of products. Nowadays not only the big businesses can offer promotional products to their customers, but small companies as well. There are websites that provide excellent solutions to the business organizations of what products to distribute as promotional items according to the budget and occasion of the respective company. These days companies choose the promotional products that easily correspond with the services and goals of the organization in order to gain an extra point.
Giving eco-friendly products is a brilliant way to offer complete satisfaction to the customers. One of the widely accepted environment friendly item is the shopping bags. Instead of using plastic bags, one can try paper bags to be distributed as promotional products so that the customers can easily shop and remember your company for years. These environment friendly products are given by the companies as they can be recycled and used further for other purposes. Also, these eco-friendly products are specially designed by using hemp or bamboo so that they can prove not to be harmful for the people using them.

Recycled promotional products like rechargeable torches and recycled mugs can also be offered as promotional products to be presented to the customers as these items do not require any digging up or mining of raw materials from the environment. A recycled pencil is another product that can be given as a promotional item as they are made by using recycled newspapers which is not harmful for the natural environment. So, it is wise to gift environment friendly promotional products to your customers rather than the non-eco friendly ones as the former are more useful and affordable to give.

Pros and Cons of Cloth Diapers

Author: Joe Smith  /  Category: Uncategorized

The pros and cons of cloth diapers have come into debate with the economy in the shape it is in. Probably one of the easiest ways for new parents to cut corners is with their baby’s diapers.  With a 16 count package of disposable diapers running anywhere from $6 to $12, depending on the brand and the store, some parents might consider cloth diapers a better deal.

Consumers Reports recently stated that disposable diapers for one child will cost anywhere from $1500 to $2000 by the time the child leaves diapers behind.  Cloth diapers on the other hand average anywhere from $12 to $24 a dozen. A newborn uses approximately 12 diapers per day. An initial investment of $50 to $100 would provide enough diapers to last until the child is weaned.

Aside from price, another one of the advantages of cloth diapers is that diaper rash is less of a problem than with disposables.  This is because they must be changed more frequently to avoid leakage. Whereas disposables tend to be left on longer because they can hold almost a quart of water before they leak. Unfortunately this leaves the poor babies’ bums soaking in urine, resulting in skin irritation.

Just as disposable diapers have improved in effectiveness and design since they were first invented, cloth diapers have also improved. The development of organic cotton diapers and hemp diapers has resulted in cloth that is more absorbent and less bulky. They have also replaced diaper pins with Velcro and snaps making it much easier to diaper a baby without sticking you or the baby with a pin.

Years ago one of the problems with cloth diapers was the plastic pants that had to be worn over the diapers to prevent leakage. Unfortunately those old style plastic pants would tear or crack which would then hurt the babies’ tender skin. Now there are leak-proof diaper covers that don’t have elastic around the legs, yet fit comfortably and still prevent leaks.

Convenience is probably the main reason why disposable diapers have become so popular. Busy working mothers simply don’t have time to deal with the loads of laundry generated by cloth diapers.  However, for a small price, cloth diapers can be just as convenient due to the various diaper services available in most towns.

When my sister-in-law had her baby, she decided to use cloth diapers provided by a diaper service. Once or twice a week the service would come by and pick up the dirty diapers and leave a large package of clean diapers.  Since the company provided a container system for the dirty diapers there was never a problem with odor or mess.

As you can see the pros and cons of cloth diapers put them in the position of being a viable alternative to disposable diapers.  However, there is another pro that anyone concerned about the environment should be aware of: disposable diapers do not break down in the landfills.

This country is burying itself in mountains of disposable diapers. That’s not a problem with cloth diapers. When they are no longer needed for the baby, they turn into great dust clothes and rags for dad.
